if the switch has this -essential , nothing  going to happen to the device, this is perpetual License.

If there is no DNAC appliance, then let the license expire.  Nothing is going to happen.  
There is no enforcement and there will be nowhere to rollback to -- The "lowest" license is already Essentials.
