etherchannel and stp

hi every body!

I have few questions about etherchannel and stp.

let say wehave two swithes : sw1 and sw2.

sw1 and sw2 are connected by f0/1 and f0/2.

Assuming stp and etherchannel configuration in place, which protocol acts first. If stp acts first, it will block the redundant link. If the link is bvlocked by stp,how it will effect etherchannel formation? will etherchannel form or not. If etherchannel forms, then what is the point as no frame will be received or forwarded out of blocked link excepts BPDU ?

thanks alot!

That's a nice way of putting it :)

Etherchannel will form a single logical link on where STP will ride over.

If you issue a show spanning-tree command, you will see the Po1 interface (for Port-Channel1) therefore to the STP, it's a single link.
