Etherchannel between router and switch

I'm trying to configure etherchannel between router 4431 and switch 3850, i need some advice how to configure etherchannel

Are you using any ether switch model on the 4431? are you going to use Layer 2 (VLAN or Trunks) or 3(IP addresses)  etherchannel?

I'm don't know what the ISRs 4K support vis-a-vis Etherchannel, but on the older ISRs, you could often configure Etherchannel on their routed ports if you set it up as a manual Etherchannel (i.e. no LACP support).
