Etherchannel issue - Port falsely shows broadcast suppression

Hello - I am trying to join two interfaces to etherchannel (LACP.)  The 2nd interface joined the channel fine, but the 1st interface keep suspending and giving the following log error:

%EC-5-CANNOT_BUNDLE2: Gi1/0/51 is not compatible with Gi1/0/52 and will be suspended (Broadcast suppression: Level of Gi1/0/51 is 50.00%, 50.00%. Level of Gi1/0/52 is not configured.)

At one point this interface had broadcast suppression configured, but it no longer does.. I tried shutting/un-shutting the interface, removing/adding back to etherchannel, even reset the port to default, but nothing works.  Any other ideas to remove the hidden broadcast suppression so it can join the etherchannel?

Maybe rebooting the switch will fix it.

Ok, that may be the only option.  I'll give that a shot.  Thanks.

Yes, sometimes the commands get stuck in the IOS and nothing can remove it but a reboot. If you want, you may want to open a ticket with TAC, so they are aware of it. Also, this may be a bug in the OS you are running especially if you are running an older version.

Rebooting the switch fixed it. I will look into a software upgrade and hopefully this will resolve the bug. Thanks for your help.

Glad to help.

Good luck!
