Hi
If Gigabit Ethernet ports are bundled into an EtherChannel, what is the maximum
throughput supported on a Catalyst switch?
this question i found in cisco press book and they mentioned answer is 16gbps
as per my knowledge in ether channel we can bundle up to 8 link,so the maximum is 8gbps right ?
can anyone explain how come its 16gbps ?

Hello,
16 is the total aggregate bandwidth for BOTH directions. On full duplex links, you get 8 in the transmit and another 8 in the receive direction. It can be a bit misleading, but that is how the 16 is calculated...
