Hello All,
If a switch is configured with a Vlan that has an External DHCP Server configured with it (*i.e. with an "ip helper-address x.x.x.x"). Would any ip dhcp excluded-addresses configured on the same switch have any affect on address allocation done by the external DHCP Server?
Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks in Advance,
Matt

This command is meant to tell the internal DHCP-server which addresses are not allowed to give to clients. If your DHCP-server is on a different host, it has to be configured on that DHCP-server.

Hey Karsten, thanks for the reply.
Ok, that's what I assumed, but wasn't positive... Thanks for clarifying that for me.
Thanks Again,
Matt
