hi,

can you post a dir output? vlan.dat is usually found in the root directory.

ensure the filename and location/directory of the .pcap file.

thanks John for replying,

actually the (.pcap) file located on the same directory with vlan.dat

Hi there,

Check the filesystem permissions on the TFTP service. I have seen implementations in the past that will not allow a TFTP session to write to a file which does not already exist.

In linux, the tftpd process needs to be run with the -c flag to allow files to be created. It sounds like you are running into the same problem. Maybe just create an empty file in the TFTP server directory with the name and extension of the pcap and try the upload again.

cheers,

Seb.

Hi Seb, Thanks a lot for replying, actually I've tried TFTPD32, SolarWinds, Filezilla with all permissions opened to write and read, and the file is created but there is no data, please check the attached screens in the original post.
