Extend range IP address

Hello experts,

I have several Vlans, eg: Vlan221, VLan222, VLan223, VLan224, Vlan225 with subnetmask /24  and only created ACLs for only VLan225 and applied access-group "in" for this vlan interface.

Now i used almost IP address in VLan225(no more ip address), and want to extend a IP address for this vlan but i do not how to do. I suggested:

1. Create a new vlan226 and applied ACLs existed(ALCs from Vlan225) to this VLan interface

2. increase or decrease subnetmask?

3. what's else?

Any help is very very appreciated,

Best regards,

Hello Trung Minh,

Answer 1 is correct. Assign new network for new vlan and apply ACLs based on your requirement.

Hello Minh,

I did as you recommended but i can not find sharing files between Vlan225 and 226 while ping or remote desktop are fine.

Do i need to create  more access list between them? How it look like?

Any help is appreciated,

Regards,
