I'm trying to configure an Extreme Networks EAPS rings through a 2950 switch. Their are 3 vlan configured on the cisco switch. Data, Voice and a control vlan for EAPS.
Basic diagram:
Extreme1 - Cisco - Extreme2 - Extreme1. All connected to each other.
The layer 2 loops are controlled by the Extreme switches. I have it all connected and the ring gets setup, but while connected to the 2950 and pinging another device we lose pings. Seems as that the 2950 switch sees a loop and blocks traffic. pings work then they don't. I know that the control vlan is not blocked on the extreme side, only the data and voice vlans are.
How do i get the 2950 to not block traffic by allowing the extreme switches control the loops and act almost like a dumb switch.
