Failed Sensor messages on WS-C6509-E

Hi All,

We have WS-C6509-E which is running on Version 12.2(17r)SX6.

it was giving following message on one of the module.

"

Status Information:  (module 5 fan-upgrade required Sensor: sensor unavailable), (module 1 insufficient cooling Sensor: sensor unavailable), (module 5 insufficient cooling Sensor: sensor unavailable), (Te1/4 Receive Power Sensor: sensor unavailable), (Te1/8 Transmit Power Sensor: sensor unavailable), (module 7 insufficient cooling Sensor: sensor unavailable), (Te1/8 Receive Power Sensor: sensor unavailable), (Te1/7 Transmit Power Sensor: sensor unavailable), (Te1/7 Receive Power Sensor: sensor unavailable), (Te1/4 Transmit Power Sensor: sensor unavailable), (module 3 insufficient cooling Sensor: sensor unavailable) : 69/80 sensors reported OK (22 sensors using thresholds) : CRITICAL

"

 

Does anyone know the workaround to resolve this?

Hi ,

 

Did you see this under show log on switch or under some monitoring tool?

 

What is the output sh env on switch?

If you dont see anything on the logs on the switch or under enviornement alarms, you may need to check the monitoring tool. It could be a false alert also.

 

However first check the sh env on switch itslef to ensure no problem.
