We have here in the company line switches Cisco WS-C2960S-48fps-L, and after atualilzação of IOS to version c2960s-universalk9-mz.152-2.E1 we are getting the following LOG messages:
000 137: Mar 29 22: 29: 17,761 GMT-3:% ADJ-5-RESOLVE_REQ_FAIL: Adj resolves request failed for 192.X.X.X on Vlan61
000 138: Mar 29 22: 29: 24,949 GMT-3:% ADJ-5-RESOLVE_REQ_FAIL: Adj resolves request failed for 192.X.X.X on Vlan61
000 139: Mar 29 22: 29: 31,151 GMT-3:% ADJ-5-RESOLVE_REQ_FAIL: Adj resolves request failed for 192.X.X.X on Vlan61
000 140: Mar 29 22: 29: 37,532 GMT-3:% ADJ-5-RESOLVE_REQ_FAIL: Adj resolves request failed for 192.X.X.X on Vlan61
000 141: Mar 29 22: 29: 44,342 GMT-3:% ADJ-5-RESOLVE_REQ_FAIL: Adj resolves request failed for 10.X.X.X on Vlan60
After identified this error to the network station responds on the network, returning to its operation after running the command "clear arp-cache 192.X.X.X (IP station that has the problem)." After a period of time this problem returns.
The upgrade of IOS to c2960s-universalk9-mz.152-2.E2 version was performed. The same problem occurs. We performed a downgrade to c2960s-universalk9-mz.150-2.SE8 version, we identified the following messages in the log:
% ADJ-3-RESOLVE_REQ: Adj resolves request: Failed to resolve 10.XXX Vlan151
% ADJ-3-RESOLVE_REQ: Adj resolves request: Failed to resolve 192.XXX Vlan371
% ADJ-3-RESOLVE_REQ: Adj resolves request: Failed to resolve 192.XXX Vlan61
After these attempts, we conducted a new downgrade to c2960s-universalk9-mz.150-2.SE2 version. With this version of IOS no longer had these LOG messages, but with this version we had in the past, memory problems this line of switches, where the equipment lost management and console accused memory failure. On the recommendation of the TAC, we performed the upgrade this version to the c2960s-universalk9-mz.152-2.E1 version.
