Hi

I got doubts in selecting the right fiber cable for the SFP's.

I do have QSFP-40Gb-SR-BD SFP's to uplink my core switches what is the Fiber cable model I need to select from the CCW ?

Also on the SFP-10/25G-CSR-S SFP which  Fiber cable I should select? This goes to my 10G devices.

Appreciate your response.

Thanks

Hi Stanly,

For SR-BD, you can use multimode fiber LC/LC cable. Here is an example:

Also on the SFP-10/25G-CSR-S SFP which  Fiber cable I should select?

You can use the same cable LC/LC multimode.

Thanks Reza.

My existing fiber backbone is a few years old and if I have to connect 40 Gb modules is there a possibility for issues? do you have any recommendations?

It should still work. If the fiber is a few years old, it is most likely OM2 or OM3 and it should still work fine. If you are installing any new fiber, you want OM4. This is all assuming your backbone fiber is Multimode right?

Thanks,

Reza
