The USB port on the SRP527W is only there to support a wireless modem backup. If you are asking whether Cisco may release a firmware to support a wider range of wireless modems, the answer is maybe. If you are asking weather Cisco may release an update that allows the use of other equipment, like printers/hard drives, that's a definite no. Cisco is not in the habit of adding that kind of functionality with firmware updates.
