We put a 64Meg Flash Disk in a 7500 RSP4. The device came active and seems to work. The CISCO doc indicates thar Flash Disk are not supported on RSP4 but is supported on RSP4+ . Am I taking a risk trying to use the Flash Disk on the RSP4 ?
Sometimes it might work when using flash disk. But officially, Cisco does not support it and is not response to any issue which might be related to it.
Plus, as far as I know, you might not be able to boot from ROMMON if using flash disk.
