Forwarding Methods

In the past, switches used either cut-through or store-and-forward switching as the forwarding methods

to switch data between network ports.  Although store-and-forwad is the sole forwarding method used

today on Cisco Catalyst switches, was there ever an IOS command that displayed the actual forwarding

method that was/is being used?

Thanks.

Don't recall a command for that.  If it's sometime that was on or off all the time, device datasheets should note.

I recall, years ago, some devices (might have been non-Cisco) that supported cut-through switching, might toggle it dynamically on-off depending on over all loading.

(BTW, some Nexus switches have re-introduced cut-through switch, believe it's limited to certain interfaces.)
