Hi to All,
please can you tell me what is the "FRU-power failed" ? It's a hardware problem on the module on the catalyst backplane or on the power-supply ?

Hello Roberto,
>> Aug 28 08:48:16.227 MET-DST: %OIR-SP-6-PWRFAILURE: Module 1 is being disabled due to power convertor failure
it is a voltage/power converter on the linecard in slot 1 that failed, and for this reason the linecard has been disabled and powered off.
It is high time for an RMA
your power supplies are working well as it can be seen in the show power.
Hope to help
Giuseppe

1 OSM-4OC3-POS-SI+ 97.44 2.32 - - on off (FRU-power failed)
Basically it means that the card in slot 1 is burnt. Please contact Cisco so you are able to raise an RMA request. Nothing can be done on your end.Discover and save your favorite ideas. Come back to expert answers, step-by-step guides, recent topics, and more.
