gvrp and vtp

hello 

i have 2 switchs cisco catalyst 2960 and alcatel-lucent 6250-P24 i already configure gvrp and vtp  i tray lot but it didn't work when i see the vtp counters or gvrp statistics nothing received i never try alcatel and i don't know even if vtp can communicate with gvrp

Have you definitely configure the port heading towards the AL as a trunk?

switchport mode trunk

i did in both sides i'dont know my be the problem that vtp has a domain but gvrp dosent i don't know i'm confused
