H/W version mismatch 9200

Hello,

I have a stack of 4 switches,

C9200-L-24P-4X (2)

and C9200-24P-4G (2)

when I run the command show switch stack-mode; it shows the all members have a version V01 but the fourth one has V03.. so if i upgrade the stack using the install command would that cause the V03 Switch an outage? or would it sync normally?
all Sws have ready state and have same software version.

Thank you

Hello @Jean Welz

All four switches are in a Ready state and running the same software so using the instal command will upgrade and reload the entire stack as a unit, with the V03 switch syncing normally and not experencing any extra or separate outage beyond the standart stack reload....

Best regards

  - @Jean Welz          It will sync normally that parameter has no impact on  the upgrade .

HW version not matter, as long as Models are matched for stacking

HW Revision version is not really that important unless the older models are running very old firmware.

Newer HW Revision number usually means "newer" firmware than the older stack members.
