I have a connection problem. I can't access my remote router, it says that it is 'half-duplex.' In assuming it needs to be 'full duplex,' how can I change this?
Thank you in advance,
AR

Usually having mismatched duplex will cause errors but not keep you from getting in the router. Are you trying to get into it from the lan or wan side?
To change it, you'd go under the interface and type "duple full". If you do this, you'll also need to change the switch to be full as well. If the one of the sides is configured statically and the other auto, you'll get a half-duplex issue like you're seeing.

Hi,
I am trying to get into the WAN side. I have yet to determine things on our end, since I am in the US and our remote switch is in Europe.
Thanks,

hello,
try this
Switch(config)#interface fastethernet0/1
Switch(config-if-range)#speed 100/auto
Switch(config-if-range)#duplex full
thanks
