Hello all,

Can any one please help with interface errors troubleshooting ?

when a show interface is perfomed on a switch, it shows a lot of error kinds (CRC,frame, overrun,.........).

I was wondering wich ones are really blocking (once it's seen, actions have to be done), and wich ones are not blocking.

If someone can help please :

Runts :  blocking / not blocking

Giants : blocking / not blocking

CRC: blocking / not blocking

Frame: blocking / not blocking

Overrun: blocking / not blocking

Ignored: blocking / not blocking

collision: blocking / not blocking

interface resets: blocking / not blocking

babbles: blocking / not blocking

late collisions: blocking / not blocking

deffered: blocking / not blocking

lost carrier: blocking / not blocking

no carriers: blocking / not blocking

pause output: blocking / not blocking

thanks leo,

i already red that before, but didn't find answers to my question : blocking or not blocking ?

any help with that will be appreciated.

I don't understand the question of "blocking or not blocking".  Please elaborate.

Hi Leo,

I meant by blocking errors : errors that need to be taken seriously, and need immediate actions to be done to solve it.

Not blocking : non-important error, that we  not care about,

... and the objective of creating multiple threads of the same topic is ...?

Hi leo,

The objective is to have advice from several person so i can have a real exchange about the topic.

I still have no answer for my questions :/ maybe some others had lived the same situation and bring specific answer.

Thanks a lot for your help leo

See example below:

The objective is to have advice from several person so i can have a real exchange about the topic.

It only confuse people who are trying to help because we/they will not know which thread to go to.  Keep it simple.  Use one thread only.
