if you want to see all the interfaces issue this command

sh ip int brief

or sh run

it seems you currently have 2 interfaces e0 and e1

yes, you only have 2 interfaces on this router

But my router has 4 interfaces and 1 wan port in the back, how do I get this router to show them?

Your router probably doesn't recognize those interfaces and that is why you don't see them in sh ip int bri

what type of interface are they?  can you describe them?  Are they on a module or build in interfaces?

What IOS ver are you running?

If you google images of cisco 831 router youll see how the back looks like, and youll see all the ports im talking about.

Hi Manases. The ports on this router are showing up as e0 (LAN switch ports) and e1 (WAN port) due to the IOS version. You would have to upupgrade your IOS in order to see the ports listed individually.

I have the same router with an old image, c831-k9o3y6-mz.122-13.ZH4.bin.

It shows the ports same as yours. I upgraded to a newer IOS c831-k9o3sy6-mz.124-25d.bin and it showed the ports individualy, but then I found a book that focuses on setting up the 831 using the older image so I switched back.

If you're interested take a look at this book by Jason C. Neumann, "CISCO Routers for the Small Business". By the end of chapter 2 you should have a working/configured C831.

I hope this helps.

The IOS I got is only 5megs, the file you told me to get is 9megs, and my router can only handle 8megs
