High CPU stack switch 2960x

Hi everyone

The last months I have received claims about slow performance of application of users, I checked the switches and detected an strange behavior of CPU, always over 40%.

The CPU load is doing load-balancing? There is a process that always generate load and the interface output drops increase.

Some can help me about how works the CPU of members stack and the cause about drops.

That CPU value is not high.  Especially for a 2960X.

I also think its not high for C2960..

show  interface error counter, 
also the broadcast and multicast is high in this interface ? check the STP status.

Hello,

one other thing you could try is to administratively shut down all unused ports on the stack switches, that sometimes helps bring CPU utilization down...
