Hi.

I'm a student and an admin of a network around 200 computers.

Our network have a cisco router 2901 that have configured a NAT and a DHCP services.

Monitoring with PRTG we have notice that sometimes the CPU usage of our router reaches close to 100% usage. We didn't finded documentation about how many devices cisco router 2901 supports.

Have you guys any idea about what test we can try to find out the issue?

Sincerely, Molody.

@Molody hello. this router is entry level router for 2900 series. there is no router parameter to see how many devices can go through router. it depends on the applications using by your devices and the bandwidth. you can try upgrade OS to last recommended OS version (this model is EOS) to see if there is any improvements and check the current throughput utilization of router.

Please rate this and mark as solution/answer, if this resolved your issue
Good luck

thanks!

As the model is EOS, where can we find out, in a safe way, the last OS version for this model?
