High CPU Utilization - cisco WS-C6509-E

Hi Experts,

Good Day!

I encounter suddenly an issue in the 6509 series router with an IOS version of s72033-adventerprisek9_wan-vz.122-18.SXF10.bin.

We are now encountering a high CPU utilization which is shown below and when I checked the possible cause, the processes "ios-base" and "iprouting.iosproc" and sometimes the "kernel" processes have the high utilization.

I would like to seek help what are the possible causes why those processes has that level of utilization that may cause the utilization of the router?

Can you please post the output to the command "sh proc cpu sorted | ex 0.00"?

Hi Leo,

Good day!

Unfortunately, that command is not supported by the existing IOS.

Thanks,

niks
