I have a 3560E switch and we are seeing spikes of high CPU utilization for the "hulc running con" process.
My understanding of this process is that it is used to copy the switch configuration from the master to the slaves in a stack configuration. Since we are not running the switch in a stack (is this even possible with a 3560E switch) why would the "hulc running con" be running on the switch?

Stacking is not possible in 3560E series switches. Is this a new switch? When did your first start noticing this behavior?

It's a new switch. We noticed the issue immediately after the initial setup of the switch.

What IOS version are you running. It could also be an IOS bug.

"hulc running con" process will be involved when the config file is called such as viewing or changing.
can you check if there is someone or SNMP station trying to view/change the config?
