Hello Rajeev,
what are the devices doing?
what type of supevisor is installed
sh ip route summary
can tell how many routes are present.
the process that uses most is ip input so the first question is to check if IP traffic is processed by CEF
Hope to help

How to check if the traffic is processed by CEF?
Other thing i noticed is IOS-BASE is taking around 30-40 % of total cpu utilization continiously.. What is IOS-BASE? try to find in google but could not get the exect.
I will also attache the running configuration in following attachment.. please suggest best to reduce the cpu utilization..

Hi.
I see that you have downloaded the modular image, but have not installed and unpacked it:
boot system flash bootdisk:s72033-adventerprisek9_wan-vz.122-33.SXI1.bin
The -vz in the middle of the name tells that it's the modular image.
When running on the modular image without installing (unpacking) it most processes are just shown like IOS BASE. You do not have the possibility to see the individual processes.
For that reason I would advice to either install the modular image or download and use the monolithic image (with -mz as part of the image name).

Hi;
Well, as I do not know your network in detail, including what kind of traffic you are running, then it will be a little too shaky for me to tell you what to run. However, you are already at SXI level and at maintenance release 1 (SXI1) so you should be fairly okay with your current code.
Should you want to upgrade, then you shall avoid SXI2 as it has been deferred due to a serious bug: CSCtb27643 - cat6000 Medium buffers leak on SP leading to crash in SXI2.
SXI3 has just passed Safe Harbor so it should be a good candidate for an upgrade.
HTH, and thanks for the rating!

Hi Ingolf,
Just checked the safe harbor workroom but I can't find the SXI3 testresults. Only the testplan is there. What gives you the impression it passed safe harbor testing? Do you have a pointer?
Cheers,
Vincent

Hi Vincent.
I got the info in a status update mail from the Safe Harbor team:
12.2(33)SXI3:
The latest SXI maintenance release 12.2(33)SXI3 has finished Safe Harbor testing successfully, and is a Safe Harbor recommended release.
Documents are being prepared now, and the target date for them to be available is November 20th. Another update will be sent once they are available for download.

Hi Ingolf,
That is very good news. Glad to hear there is a SXI release which is extensively tested. We've had serious issues running SXI2 and SXI2a releases...
Again, thanks for the info!
cheers,
Vincent

How can an IOS version be Safe Harbor, when it was just released a week ago??

The testplan is dated 9-oct-2009. I guess the safe harbor team got IOS SXI3 before it was released to the general public.
