host can ping switch but switch cant ping the same host.

hi every body

I am having this problem. host(winxp) is connected to cisco cat 1900 switch. The switch has only one host which is windows xp.

host configuration:

ip address 192.192.192.192 255.255.255.0

switch configuration:

switch(config)ip address 192.192.192.193 255.255.255.0

host can ping switch but switch can not ping the same host.

Does anyone have any clue?

My first guess is that the Windows XP PC is running a firewall that is preventing the PC from receiving and processing ping. The firewall allows outboud ping request and inbound ping response. But it does not allow inbound ping response.
