how can i configure etherchannel on a switch

Hello Raul,
look at the following link:
this is for a C3750 IOS based switch.
the member links must have the same config about speed, duplex, access vlan (if access port) or native vlan and list of permitted vlans (if a L2 trunk link)
A L3 etherchannel can be configured by configuring the logical interface port-channel X.
Very important for L2 trunks all changes in the list of permitted vlans has to be done on the logical port-channel X and not on the single member links otherwise some instabilities can occur.
Hope to help

If you have ports of the same speed ,duplex etc it can be as simple as putting " channel-group X mode desirable or channel-group X mode active if you want to use LACP " on the ports you want to use .
