Hi:
I'm a bit puzzled by something:
I plugged my laptop into a 3750 switchport and it got an address via DHCP.
My question is, why?
The switchport is g3/0/29.
The configuration of that port is blank. It just reads:
interface GigabitEthernet3/0/29.
A "show vlan" indicates that vlan1 is the default vlan and that g3/0/29 is on vlan 1.
There is no DHCP server on vlan1.
Vlan 1 does not have an ip helper-address configured.
ipconfig shows that the dhcp server that was used is on vlan 10.
How did those dhcp broadcasts get to vlan 10?
Thanks,
Tonyh

Hi,
It should not happen. Please post the current configuraion, excluding sensitive information. Does the dhcp server exist on VLAN-10?

Hi,
Can you post output of ipconfig/all and arp -a on laptop.
Regards.
Alain.
