How do i set up QoS on a SGE2010P Switch, for Voip traffic?
I have 4 Cisco SGE2010P Switches in a stack, and sometimes large data transfers occur on a couple of ports (imaging new PCs) and this slow down the whole network.
What we want to do is start using QoS, so when this does happen our phones do not start breaking up and failing.
I have little experience with Cisco Switches, and QoS so any advice/help/walkthrough will be very gladly received.
Thanks,
-Tim

Please search for QoS on the document. IO believe it will help.
Voice is DSCP EF (46) and call centrol is AF31. You can trust DSCP.

Hi Shelley,
Thanks for that answer, sorry I have taken so long to reply.
I have been using this document, but I am no nearer to getting this set up.
I have set it all to basic mode. and set the Trust mode to DCSP.
But no idea what to do next. I understand that for phones they should use DCSP 46, but I don't know where this AF31 is within the phones or the switch?
Please can you help some more.
Thanks,
-Tim
