How do I SPAN multiple sources to multiple destinations?

I'm trying to figure out the best way to SPAN multiple sources (preferably a range of VLANS but multiple interfaces will work) and send them to multiple appliances, each with there own physical ports. What is the simplest way to do this to avoid expensive network taps? I have 4 appliances that I need to send all traffic to.

Hi,

You can configure SPAN session with multiple source and multiple destination ports. Are all 4 appliances (destinations) and all sources on the same switch?

Example:-

conf t

monitor session X source ....

monitor session X destination ...

I get a number of destinations exceeded error whenever I try to specify more that one destination, such as a range of ports, or even when I just try to add another destination to an existing one. It still only lets me specify one destination. I can do multiple sources just fine, but it’s the multiple destination on this 9504 that doesn’t seem to be allowed.

What is the switch model? And which IOS version it is running?

HTH,

did you try configuring multiple SPAN sessions ?
