Hi,
I've got a rack with a 7AMP limit in the UK, will the 7206VXR/NPE-G2 router work in that environment? All I've got happening with this router is eigrp running to connect an OC3 circuit.
Thanks
Dan

Hi
Power supply decides MAX Ampere.
I think that the system works in your environment.
Check following page
AC-Input Power is 370W max. (single or dual power supply configuration)
Table 7. Power (The Cisco 7200 VXR is available with single and dual power supply options for both AC and DC.)
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/prod/collateral/routers/ps341/data_sheet_c78_339749.html
Thanks

Hi Dan,
A rough guide is Watts = Volts x Amps
370 = 220 x A
A = 1.68
You should be fine.
It's a rough figure because you don't know how efficient the PSU is. The only sure fire way to measure what your equipment is using is with a clamp type ammeter.
