How many secondary addresses can be assigned on a router (12.3.11T)

what is the maximum number of secondary ip address that can be assigned to an ethernet?

Don't think there is a set number but from a performance point of view I certainly wouldn't do more than say 4 unless there is some circumstance that specifically needs it specially on a router.
