I'm looking at the At-A-Glance sheet for the Cisco 3650 switches. It says for the WS-C3650-24PD you can have "2 x 10 Gigabit Ethernet with SFP+ (or 4 x Gigabit Ethernet with SFP)"
It says for the WS-C3650-24PD you can have "2 x 10 Gigabit Ethernet with SFP+ (or 4 x Gigabit Ethernet with SFP)".
What exactly does that mean? I know that you can plug in an SFP into an SFP+ port for 1Gb access, but how do you get 4 x 1Gb from 2 x 10Gb?
Is it just me or

From memory, it has 2 x SFP+ ports and 2 x SFP ports.
So this lets you plug in 4 x SFP's.
However if you plug in an SFP+ it disables the SFP next to it. So if you plug in 2 x SFP+ the 2 x SFP ports are disabled.

It all depends on the model. Have a look at the difference.
Some models support both 1 or 10Gig but not both at the same time.

Thanks for the info.
I found out the 3650 SFP+ models will support either 10 or 1 Gig, but you can't mix them. So you can't have one port at 10G and the other at 1G.
Some of the 3850 models can do that though.
