Hi,
Please find the attach design,
I need to achieve 40g uplink speed between 9600 and 9400 series switches, from data center switches Cisco 9600 we need to connect three sites, from data center to all sites distance is 400 meters.
Data center : Cisco 9600 series we have line card which support 40/100g
Sites 1,2 &3 : We have Cisco 9400 series modular switch, with line card c9400-lc-24xs so please explain how we can achieve 40g speed with this. are we can use MPO/MTP.

Hi,
The card in the 9400 does not support 40Gig interfaces however the 9400 Sup comes with 2 40Gig interfaces if that is enough ports for you.

Hi,
If you can't use the 40Gig ports on the sup to connect to the hub site, than the only thing I can think of is using 4 10Gig in a Portchannel but that means you are using 4 pairs of fiber and not just one. Does that work for you?

if i use port channel so there is no benefit of putting line card (C9600-LC-24C - Cisco Catalyst 9600 Series 24-Port 40GE/12-Port 100GE) in 9600 Series Switch, but as our design Required 40 g uplink between DC to all Tower locations.

1) For Uplink between Core 9600 line card (C9600-LC-24C) connecting to Hub Switches sup (C9400-SUP-1XL) we can achieve 40G???.
2) between Hub Switches 9400 series to achieve SVL and DAD we can use Line card (C9400-LC-24XS)???.
