How to add ports to a router

Hey !

I couldn't understand how to add additional ports to a router in Packet Tracer. By additional ports I mean layer 3 ports which can be assigned ip addresses and not the switching ports.

Try this:

For route 1841, you can use :

 

This is an Ethernet interface, but you can assign it an IP.

Hi anyone knows how to add fiber port to router 2911 in packet tracer please ?

Hi @New Forest 

First you must turn off the device in the Phisical tab

Then you select the HWIC-1GE-SPF card and insert it in an unoccupied slot

Then you select the GLC-LH-SMD module and insert it in the slot of the already inserted card

Turn on the device

Then you just have to select the fiber cable and make the connection with another device with fiber interface.
