How to chain differents VSS System ?

Hello,

Is it possible to chain different VSS systems with L2 MEC. If not how to configure a L3 MEC?

Thank you for your help.

Christophe,

If the SVIs for the Access Layer are terminated at the Distribution, then you would want to do some sort of L3 between Distribution and Core layers. This could be either L3 MEC or L3 Equal Cost Multi-Path routing with no MEC.

If the SVIs for the Access Layer are terminated at the Core, then you would do L2 MEC between the Distribution and Core layers.

I can be done.

A lot of networks have collapsed the core and distro layer into one.

Hello Leo,

With L2 MEC or L3 MEC ?

Christophe.

It depends entirely on your network.

The core/distro can either have Layer 2 etherchannel or Layer 3 etherchannel.  There is not hard-and-fast rule regarding this question.
