how to check interface 5 min usage of catalyst 6509

hi,

we are using catalyst 6509 in hybrid mode. i would like to know how to check interface utilization using the command line similar to show interface command on IOS where you could see the 5 min input output rate. thanks.

No way that I know of . If you just want to look at it over a single 5 minute interval you can use the "show top report" function on the catos side. This will give it to you for a single 5 minute period , if you need it over multiple periods I don't know of a way unless you have management tools that would accomplish this.

a clear count.

Have you used

show top

[pciaccio]

Use the SHOW TOP command. This command will show you the PORT usage in the specified time (default 30 swc). This is a good way of seeing the port utilization. Also it shows you the top talkers on the switch.Good Luck.. Please rate.....
