How to connect network switch with Bell Home Router

Hello Everyone,

I am trying to connect my 24 port catalyst 3550 switch with my Bell home 4000 router and have an internet connection to the devices connected to the switch. I am assigning static IPs to the end hosts for now, until I setup a separate DHCP server. Using the static IPs assigned, I can ping the devices and the bell router as well, but I am not connecting to the internet.

What configurations would I need to make in order to connect to the internet?

I am seeking any possible solution to connect to the internet using this basic setup.

I appreciate your help. Thank you

If the switch Layer 2 you do not need any configuraiton on the switch.

Make sure you have correct DNS entry to access internet.

from the PC you made static IP, are you able to ping bell router gateway IP ? are you able to ping 8.8.8.8 ?

what DNS you using on the PC - better use 8.8.8.8 or use bell router IP address see if that works ?
