Hi,
'show inventory' can display Cisco part number (PID) in IOS.
'show interface transceiver' command in NX-OS only shows the technical specification but not the Cisco Part Number (PID). Any body know what NX-OS command can show the PID of transceivers?
Ethernet1/11
transceiver is present
type is SFP-1000BASE-T
name is CISCO-AVAGO
part number is ABCU-5710RZ-CS4
revision is B2
serial number is AGM182xxxxx
nominal bitrate is 1300 MBit/sec
Link length supported for copper is 100 m
cisco id is --
cisco extended id number is 4
Thanks.

Hello Frank, may I ask why you need the PID?
The part number is displayed as ABCU-5710RZ-CS4.
If the SFP is not working on your Nexus, please try setting the speed to 1000mb by inputting the command "speed 1000" and "duplex full" under interface e1/11.
You may have to pull out the SFP and insert it back in.
Hope this helps.

Thank you Bilal.
It may not technically requires the PID. It can help the customer to order new SFPs with Cisco PID. But it makes the customer feels uncomfortable to have a genuine SFP shown as PID 'unspecified'. It is a cosmetic defect at least. Cosmetice defect is stil a defect.
The reason may not strong but it is valid I think.
Thanks.

I believe that display (including Product ID) is only available on NX OS 6.1 or 6.2 and greater.
