How to identify if a 3560 SW is setup as L2 or L3?
Thanks a million!

Is "ip routing" enabled ?
If you can't tell then do a "sh ip ro" and post it here.

Thanks for replying so quickly...Ip Routing is not enabled
The switch is currently an access switch for PCs and IP Phones...is there any advantage to enabling L3 services on the switch? Such as enabling Multicast PIM.

If ip routing is not enabled then no there is no need or particular advantage to enabling L3 just for multicast. Just make sure you have IGMP snooping running on the L2 switch and that there is another L3 switch with PIM enabled on the vlan interfaces .
