How To Load An Image Using TFTP Server on Cisco 2690-G Switch

Hi,

Kindly share the procedure of How to load an IOS into 2960-G switch's flash: using TFTP server only when it is missing valid IOS from its flash.

I need information such as how to assingn IP address etc.

You mean the switch is currently in ROMmon or not? 

 

If the 2960 is in ROMmon, then go read (and understand) this process FIRST and then go HERE and jump immediately to section 4a.

I have understood the process.My only query is instead of xmodem cant we use TFTP here?

How can you use TFTP when your switch does not know IP?
