Hi guys,
I have got a question and I would really appreciate your help.
Is it possible to manipulate the actual speed of the link in cisco packet tracer and to observe the change in the Simulation mode?
Example:
I am sending an ICMP from one PC to another PC over two routers, the speed of the DCE part of the link between the two routers is set to 64000. In simulation mode it takes 0.001 seconds for the ICMP to travel between the two routers, if i change the clock rate to a higher value, 500000 for example, nothing changes - the file still travels for 0.001 seconds between the routers. The situation is the same if I use Gigabit instead of simple Fastethernet links in a LAN network, i cannot observe the speed change that should occure changing from fastethernet to Gigabit.
How can I monitor the actual change of the speed or this is impossible in CPT?
Thank you in advance
