How to power up DC Power Supply Unit (PSU) on Catalyst 3560?

Hi Guys,
First of all, let me tell you that I'm a network guy & by no means  an electrician, that's why I'm stumbled. I have dealt with many Cisco  devices both AC and DC PSUs. AC PSUs are easy, just connect the power  cord to the 220V wall socket & that's it. With DCs usually you'd see  additional adapters in the package, which you'd connect to the device  (be it a router or a switch) and then connect that adapter to the 220V  wall socket and that would be it.
Now the problem: we recently bought a new Catalyst 3560-E switch from  the US, which came with DC PSU, but with no adapter in the package  (apparently it doesn't come). We're located in Tashkent, Uzbekistan and  it is virtually impossible to return the device and request the one with  AC PSU, as it would take a long time to deliver and the job is kind of  in a rush. In the manual there is a section that explains how to  correctly connect electrical wires to the PSU, but it's all gobledygooks  to me, I don't understand a thing.
If you've come across that problem before, could you please explain in  mundane non-electricians language to me how to resolve that problem?
Sorry if I'm asking a stupid question and thanks a lot for your  assistance in advance,
Nodir

Hi Nodirjon

Do you have a DC power supply in the first place.

You need to connect this switch to a DC power supply as mentioned in the specifications.

3560E has removable power supplies. You could try ordering for an ac power supply.

You could choose one from the below datasheets

Hi amvarana,

DC power supply, which is removable, came inside the package. I unfortunately cannot order replacement AC power supply, because it's going to take too long to arrive (in mid September). I need to figure out a way to feed DC power supply with electricity and that's where I have a problem. Anyone knows how to feed 12Amps 36V-72V DC power supply?

Thanks,

Nodir

In that case you would have to use a AC to DC convertor which would convert your ACs supply to  12Amps 36V-72V DC.

Or you can use a RPS to power the 3560E switch
