Hi.
I have a Cisco 877-K9 Router.
I've tried to update the CP Express using its own interface.
Everything went ok, but after the update I can't access to the http configuration (java based).
When I try to connect I get this page:
Cisco Systems
Accessing Cisco 877 "ciscok"
Show diagnostic log - display the diagnostic log.
Monitor the router - HTML access to the command line interface at level 0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,13,14,15
Connectivity test - ping the nameserver.
Show tech-support - display information commonly needed by tech support.
Extended Ping - Send extended ping commands.
I've tried rebooting, restoring factory defaults, resets, reinstalling..nothing works.
How can I restore previous functionality?

Hello.
If you still have not figured out a solution to your problem, please follow the instructions from here:

and download SDM from here: http://www.cisco.com/pcgi-bin/tablebuild.pl/sdm.
See if this sorts out your problems.
However as Christopher Gatlin implied, the sooner you familiarize yourself with the cli the better.

Thanks for the answers.
I know the CLI should be the way to go but..
1) this is a 3 days new router so I would like it to work in all of its parts.
2) CLI is dangerous because it is too powerfull and i'm not that skilled with it. For simple things I prefer using the web interface for noobs
I've tried what you suggested but it didn't work.
I followed the procedure carefully, but when the setup tries to copy files on the flash an error message appears saying the copy process couldn't be completed (no details).
My router's flash has about 6MB of free space so i can only select the SDM Express in setup utility. Could this be the problem?
I've tried with version 2.5, 2.4 and 2.3 with same result.

Hello.
Could you please login to your router via telnet and run the following commands?
logging buffered 8192
This command enables logging. Then try the SDM procedure once again and once finished, re-login into the router and run the following command:
show log
Please attach the output in order to find out what's going on.

I thought it was a datetime problem so I configured the clock, but it didn't work...
I can't write to the flash even from the SDM Express I've installed on pc.
Is there a write protected mode for the flash? maybe user authorizations?

I think I found a solution.
I've tried copying from and to the flash using the CLI and it worked well.
I've read somewhere that the web interface requires these files:
common.tar
es.tar
home.shtml
home.tar
sdmconfig-8xx.cfg
so I copied them on an ftp server and then to the flash and now it looks like the web interface is back in action.
Please tell me if I did something strange.
Maybe the problem is on the SDM setup which deletes files from the flash, but produces an error in copying them back.
It could be a path problem (spaces, too long path), but I didn't try to run it from c:\ (and the wired thing is that it happened even by updating from its interface).
I've just got another question (sorry for posting here):
For what I've seen I can't download updated IOS without some kind of support contract, but I don't know how to buy it...
