how to track serial interface and use static route

I am using two routers interconnected using eigrp.static route is being used, when one of the serial link fails, i need to manually write a new static route via second link, static route with AD is tested, its not working since it is not in EIGRP.Is there any way to track the serial and switch over the route automatically.
