I've done a lot of HSRP using multiple routers but never had the need for doing it in a single router using multiple interfaces. So, I was wondering is it possible to do HSRP in one router using multiple interfaces to have one default gateway?

Hi Jeff,
You can run multiple HSRP groups but they should have unique VIP.HSRP VIP is for per subnet and if you try to configure the same VIP for two subnets it will give an error and logically not correct.
This operation is similar to assigning the same IP to two interfaces of a router, which is not allowed.

On one router you can use BVI (briging between two interfaces)
