Does anyone know if HSRP will work between 2 4506's that one has a SupV and one has a Sup6 engine?

Sure, if they are running L3 software.

Just to expand on Jerry's answer. HSRP does not care about the physical device as long as there is L2 adjacency between the 2 devices. So you can run HSRP between a 4500 and and a 6500, a 4500 and a 2800 router etc...
