I upgraded my IOS on my 3524 switch, and I think somehow i deleted my startup config.text file. How do I restore my config.text files

If you have a copy off-line, you could use a tftp copy to get it to the switch.

Another note, if you haven't reloaded/restarted your switch, and a >show running-config shows correct config parameters, you can just do a >copy running-config startup-config and the config file should be recreated

bjw,
thanks for responding. this is what i am getting ex: switch:
I have tried copying another config, but the switch will not allow it. I think the error was no bootable file. it appears to be stuck in boot mode. I cannot get back to the user mode > or privilge mode #

Sounds like you need to reload IOS from Rommon and try again.
