Icon on front of 1000 series switches, above SFP Gi1/0/9-10 ports ?

A very mundane question, but does anyone know what the little icon above the SFP ports on the 1000 series switches is for?

It is visible on page 3 of this Cisco document. https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/switches/lan/catalyst1000/hardware/installation/8_16_port_hig/b_c1000_8_16_hig.pdf

It resembles a microphone or possibly a wireless transceiver.

Just curious what it is and why it's there ?

Thanks.

I guess so. I can’t remember seeing anything like that before. Mind you, I don’t tend to use this type of switch very often.

Cest la vie.

Thanks. Jon.

Everything is working fine, I just wondered what it was.

Hello @joneaton ,

my guess is that the icon is a way to say that you need to insert an SFP optics in these two ports in order to use them

Hope to help

Giuseppe
